U.S. CONSUMER REFUND · AMAZON PRIME 27 SEP 2026

Amazon Prime refund Oct. 1, 2026: Who gets paid automatically?

A new automatic payout starts Oct. 1 for eligible U.S. subscribers who used 11–20 Prime benefits in a year. A Prime membership alone does not qualify.

The Federal Trade Commission says Amazon will begin this added round of payments under its Prime settlement on October 1, 2026. It covers a specific group of customers—not every Prime member.

Do you need to apply?

No new form is required. The FTC says future payments under the revised order will be automatic. Amazon may pay through PayPal, Venmo or a mailed check. Accept an electronic payment within 60 days of its issue date.

Does everyone get $200?

No. The refund is based on Prime fees paid, up to $200 total. The earlier $51 cap applied to initial rounds. If accepted payments are below the target by February 2027, earlier recipients may get up to $149 more in an automatic round by April 2027. That extra amount is not guaranteed.

How do you spot a fake refund message?

The FTC says it is not contacting consumers about this refund. Do not pay a fee or share personal or payment details with anyone who contacts you. Open the FTC’s official refund page directly to check current eligibility and payment details.

U.S. customers only. This is a summary of the settlement criteria, not confirmation that an individual will be paid. Checked September 27, 2026.
