Minecraft’s Sift: When can you play the new dimension?

The Sift is coming to Java and Bedrock in 2027. The version in Minecraft Dungeons II is a separate release.

Is The Sift in Minecraft yet?

No. At Minecraft Live on September 26, Mojang announced The Sift for Minecraft Java and Bedrock in 2027. It will be the first new dimension in more than 14 years.

What about Minecraft Dungeons II?

The Sift also appears in Minecraft Dungeons II, a separate game with a September 29, 2026 release date. That is a different release from the main Minecraft update.

What hasn’t been announced?

Mojang has not given an exact release day, version number, or snapshot schedule, or explained how players will reach The Sift. The Live recap showed a glimpse of the dimension and one mob, not the full feature list.
