Dante Moore injury update: What Oregon’s coach said after the USC hit

Oregon coach Dan Lanning said Moore was moving. The reports cited here give no diagnosis.

The Associated Press reported that Moore left by ambulance but gave no diagnosis. A stretcher, neck brace or video cannot establish whether he had a concussion or another injury.

What does the targeting ejection mean?

Under the NCAA’s experimental 2026 rule, an upheld targeting foul disqualifies a player for the rest of that game. A second upheld targeting foul in the same season also brings a first-half suspension for the next game; a third or later foul brings an automatic one-game suspension. The reports cited here do not establish whether Stephens had an earlier upheld targeting foul, so they do not confirm any next-game suspension.
