Check the answer in the original

A page number and short quote make an answer easier to verify; they do not guarantee it is correct. PDF page labels can differ from the page count in a viewer, so look for the quoted words too. Ask ChatGPT to mark information it cannot find instead of filling gaps.

Charts and scanned pages may need a second look

PDF handling depends on the plan and feature. OpenAI says non-Enterprise document processing extracts text and may not include embedded images or charts. Scanned pages may also need text recognition. If a chart or image supports the conclusion, inspect the original yourself.
